Art
Quarry Hill Primary School offers a vibrant and engaging art program for students from Prep to Grade 6 in a bright, spacious, purpose built art room.
Students participate in activities including drawing, painting, printing, textiles, digital art and sculpture to build their artistic skills. Creative thinking is encouraged through the design process, art challenge activities and team work.
Students learn to explore, imagine, experiment and express ideas, themes and observations in their art classes.
We look at significant artworks from a range of cultures and times to analyse colours, materials, symbols and consider where and why people make art.
Our program offers the opportunity to exhibit and present student artworks to a range of audiences through school newsletters, school displays and participation in the Bendigo Agricultural Show and other competitions. Artwork is also shared via our QHPS Art room Facebook page and QHPS Art room Instagram page.
